Introduction

These meetings are all held at Trinity Tabernacle, Hassell Drive, Lawrence Hill, Bristol.  Unless otherwise indicated, they start at 12 noon with coffee (bring your own lunch) and end at 2 pm.

Meetings

2 December 2004 "Faith, church, and mental illness"

An opportunity to explore the difficult issues around mental illness including pastoral care and involvement of the local church. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and to share experiences.

Our Speaker, Jon Haynes, is a Registrar in Psychiatry working in Weston in a community-based clinic in the field of addiction psychiatry. He worships at Redland Parish Church, Bristol, and is also currently helping "Soul Survivor" with their pastoral team.

(16 September 2004 "Self worth and the marginalized")

(Postponed again.)

(20 May 2004 "Self worth and the marginalized")

This meeting had to be postponed due to a mix-up in the planning. We hope it will be run in September 2004. It is to be a half day conference, looking at three main areas: prevention, rescue and restoration. Runs from 9:30 am to 2 pm.

5 February 2004 "Working With Older People"

Postponed from July 2003.
