Introduction
These meetings are all held at Trinity
Tabernacle, Hassell Drive, Lawrence Hill, Bristol. Unless
otherwise indicated, they start at 12 noon with coffee (bring your own
lunch) and end at 2 pm.
Meetings
6 July 2005 "Bereavement"
Led by Rick Vincent.
[This meeting was originally scheduled for
14 July 2005.]
26 May 2005 "Becoming an Inclusive Church"
"Reaching out to your community to include disabled people in
the life of your church," led by Paul Dicken of Through the
Roof.
With 10 million disabled people in the UK (2001 Census), why
are they so absent from our churches? Paul Dicken, director of
Through the Roof, the UK's leading Christian disability
organisation serving churches, shows how to reach disabled people,
how to meet their needs in your church and how the Disability
Discrimination Act is a positive opportunity for mission. This
practical workshop will get you buzzing with ideas on meeting the
needs of what is described as the 'last unreached people-group in
the western world'.
Lunch is provided (donation £3), so booking is necessary.
To book, or for more information, phone 0117 924 5001 or email admin@bcan.org.uk.
